OR Colan Associates provides relocation services and land acquisition to businesses and residents displaced due to public works construction projects under eminent domain, particularly with DOT, FAA and Light Rail Transit agencies. Knowledge of the Uniform Relocation Act or 1970 is a must. Real Estate License preferred. Relocation agents are responsible for need assessment surveys, computing relocation housing payments, exemplifying available replacement properties, preparing claims and providing counseling and advisory assistance to displacees throughout the project. At least two years of relocation experience on behalf of a public agency is required. Acquisition experience is also helpful.
